本校では積極的に留学生を受け入れています。
今回は4月から2年2組(文理選抜コース)にて学習している、タイからの留学生、ケイトさんに聞いてみました。
Q; How do you like living in Japan?
A; I found it quite challenging at first, but now I’m getting used to everything bit by bit. For example, the language, culture, food, and life with my new host family, and friends is very different. I’m still not used to the weather though. Japan’s weather is a lot different from Thailand. It’s not stable at all. As for the language, I’m improving a lot, especially in listening and speaking because I’m a talkative person. I’d say that I get along with my host family and friends pretty much. And the food and desserts here are really good. I must admit that I’ll miss them so bad when I go back to Thailand. During the first week of May, I did feel homesick for 3-4 days. It was pretty bad but I managed to get through it somehow, by keeping myself occupied.
Q; How do you like studying at this school?
A; I’m not an academic person. I prefer learning through activities and not to just sit down and listen to the teacher read the book. So, I enjoy P.E., English and any other kinds of activities. I get along with my friends and classmates. I’m really proud of being able to help others with my English skills because I can’t help them other than in English. I sometimes struggle with the time that school ends because 3 days a week it ends at 5. I find that very difficult. And I’m also trying my best not to fall asleep during class. Because when you have to learn something in a language that you’re not familiar with, even your favorite subject can be boring too. I’m just explaining in case you see it as laziness.
